Happy Sant Jordi's day

We celebrate one of the most important days of Catalan culture.
On April 23rd we celebrate Sant Jordi's Day, an event that needs no introduction in Catalonia. One of the most special and awaited days of the year in which the whole country takes to the streets to enter the world of books and get carried away by the scent of roses.
Sant Jordi offers us a perfect opportunity to look back and recover the great classics that have shaped our cultural background, the language and culture that is ours and shapes our essence. That is why I encourage you to nourish yourselves from the past. To extract the lessons that guide our steps on the present path and lead us towards the future in which we believe.
“Memory always has to do with the past, but also or more with the present, and consequently, with the future”, Maria-Mercè Marçal i Serra (2019).
The road traveled has an impact that goes beyond the present moment. Memory, therefore, gives us tools to build a more just world. At CETT we assume a commitment to the preservation of our culture, with knowledge as a transformative tool. That is why, today and always, I encourage you to leave a responsible, positive and conscious footprint for the whole world.
Enjoy the streets, the day and all the activities we have prepared for today.

Experience Sant Jordi at CETT
- Tast FingerFood of Sent Soví: to remember our roots and in tribute to “Catalonia, World Region of Gastronomy”, we remember one of the most precious testimonies of the Catalan language and gastronomy for its uniqueness and antiquity: the Book of Sent Soví, through a tasting of two recipes adapted to the FingerFood format.
- Gastronomic offer of Sant Jordi: throughout the week in the Espai Fòrum of the Campus CETT will be sold the traditional Sant Jordi bread, which will also be included in the menu of April 23, both in the Fòrum and in the Aula Restaurant. In addition, in Aula Restaurant you can taste a limited edition cocktail that reinterprets the day of Sant Jordi, and, during the midday service, the Summum restaurant of the Hotel Alimara will offer a sweet rose of raspberry and rose cream, vanilla mousse and toffee heart.
- Students will be involved in the promotion of the day: CETT students will spread the history and curiosities about the event. In addition, they will distribute bookmarks to raise awareness among the rest of the student body.
- Crossbooking: CETT Campus will activate a temporary space for exchanging books to give them a second life.
