Scholarships for new students of masters

  • Talent New acces scholarships for másteres

    Talent Scholarship for postgraduate studies 2024/25 (Graduates from the European Union or Latin America)

    1.1. Purpose:

    Encourage and reward academic excellence.

    1.2. Recipients:

    University graduates, with a nationality from one of the countries of the European Union or Latin America, entering a CETT Master's programme.

    1.3. Requirements:

    • Be a national of one of the countries of the European Union or Latin America.
    • Have an average grade of 7.5 or higher on their Degree or equivalent, giving access to the Master's Degree.
    • Be admitted to one of the Master's degrees offered by the EUHT CETT-UB for the 2024/2025 academic year.
    • Not be or have been a CETT student until the moment of applying for the scholarship.
    • Not have been beneficiary of any other CETT Foundation scholarship or discount for the 2024/2025 academic year. Otherwise, the amount of the scholarship or discount that is most beneficial for the student will be applied.

    The Talent Scholarship will only be compatible with the discount for cash payment or in 2 installments.

    1.4. Financial help:

    The amount of the scholarships will depend on the master's degree to be studied:

    A 2% withholding will be applied on the amount of the scholarship according to the IRPF Law 40/1998.*

    The LIRPF classifies scholarships as income from employment. Consequently, scholarships that are not covered by the exemption in Article 7 j) of the LIRPF (EDL 2006/298871) will be considered income from employment in accordance with Article 17.2 h) of the LIRPF, and as such, will be subject to withholding for income tax (IRPF). The calculation of the withholding will follow the general procedure established in Articles 80 and following of the RIRPF.

    The amount of the scholarship will be applied to the course fees.

    1.5. Candidate evaluation criteria:

    The best academic record among candidates, their resumé, and personal statement will be the critical criteria to be eligible for a scholarship.

    1.6. Required documents:

    • Application form for TALENT SCHOLARSHIP FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDIES, duly completed.
    • Official certification of the candidate's Degree (or equivalent studies which give access to postgraduate studies) academic record. In case of having studied abroad, it will be essential to attach the equivalent of the average mark of university studies carried out in foreign centers as indicated in web of the Ministry
    • Curriculum vitae

    All documentation must be presented in Spanish/Catalan or English. Applications will not be accepted if the documentation is in any other language.

    1.7. Applications deadlines and documents:

    Applications must be submitted through this online form. (The form will be activated on the 1st day of the application submission period).

    Application forms must include all required documents.

    Any scholarship application without supporting documentation will be rejected.

    After the application has been submitted, the Scholarship Committee may request further documents or an online interview with eligible candidates.

    Application period: from March 18 to July 19, 2024.

    If the total amount allocated to the Talent Scholarships has not been awarded in the 1st Call, a new call will be opened from September 2 to 27, 2024.

    1.8. Resolution:

    The Scholarship Committee (made up of CETT members) will communicate, via email, the resolution of the scholarship no later than 15 days after the application has been submitted.

    Once the scholarship has been awarded, the applicant will have 15 days to pay the reservation fee for the course to which he/she has been admitted. If payment is not made within this period, the scholarship will be forfeited.

    Tuition and UB taxes must be paid before the start of the course. After deducting 2% as established by law, the total amount of the scholarship will be applied to the single payment or the set fees, depending on the student's payment method choice.

Scholarships for new students of university degrees

  • Excellence Academic Scholarship for students of university degrees

    Academic Excellence Scholarship for new students 2023/2024

    1.1. Purpose:

    Encourage and reward academic excellence.

    1.2. Recipients:

    E.S.O. students (secondary school leavers), Pre-University students, higher vocational training courses holders who wish to access CETT -UB Degree programs in Tourism and Hospitality Management or in Culinary and Gastronomy Sciences or in Digital Business and Tourism Innovation for the first time.

    1.3. Requirements:

    Pre-University students: must have a score of 9 out of 10 or higher in their access to university tests.

    Higher vocational training courses holders: must have an average score of 9 out of 10 or higher on their academic record.

    1.4. Financial help:

    These scholarships will cover 50% of the course total fee, except enrolment fees and UB tax in the case of the Tourism and Hospitality Management Decree and Digital Business and Tourism Innovation Degree. In the case of the Culinary and Gastronomic Sciences Degree, with the exception of enrollment fees, UB tax and material.

    Following Spanish legislation 40/1998 IRPF, 2% taxation will be deducted from the full scholarship amount*.

    • Motivation letter stating the reasons and merits to apply for the scholarship.

    1.7. Applications deadlines and documents:

    Candidates must fill in the Academic Excellence scholarship for new students’ online application form and attach the documents listed on 1.6.

    1.8. Resolution:

    The Scholarships Committee will communicate via e-mail with candidates the resolution no later than 2 weeks after the application deadline. After studying all applications, the Scholarships Committee may decide not to award the available scholarships depending on whether eligibility criteria are met.

    1.9. Scholarship renewal request:

    Scholarships may be renewed if candidates maintain the same academic status to be eligible. These are the requirements to request scholarship renewal:

    • Pass 100% of ECT in the first year.
    • Have an average mark of 9 out of 10 or higher in their academic record (CETT’s secretary will provide such academic record along with the application form).
    • Show great passion and motivation for the studies and the profession.

    Talent New acces Scholarships for new students for intermediate and advanced level Vocational Training Courses in Cooking and Restaurant Business, Bachelor's Degree and UB Specific Degree Courses, 2024/2025

    1.1. Purpose:

    Encourage and reward talented students who wish to pursue studies in tourism, hospitality or gastronomy.

    1.2. Recipients:

    E.S.O. students (secondary school leavers), Pre-University students, Higher Vocational Training Courses holders who wish to access CETT Higher Vocational Training Courses in cooking or restaurant business or CETT Undergraduate programs.

    1.3. Requirements:

    1.3.1. For students who wish to take a Vocational Training Course:

    • Secondary School leavers must have an average score of 7.5 or above (B, B+) on their academic record.

    • Candidates must have applied for a EUHT CETT-UB undergraduate program on their 2024 university enrolment as first choice.

    1.3.4. For students who wish to take a UB Specific Degree Course:

    • Pre-university students must have an average score of 7.5 or above (B, B+) on their academic record.
    • Higher Vocational Training Courses holders must have an average score of 7.5 or above B, B+) on their academic record.

    For all students:

    • Not having been a recipient of any other CETT Fundació scholarship or grant for the 2024/2025 academic year. Otherwise, the amount of the scholarship or the most favorable discount to the student will be applied. The scholarship will only be compatible with the discount for cash payment.

    1.4. Number of scholarships and Fees:

    • 2 scholarships for the 1st year of Higher Vocational Training Course Technician in Kitchen Management

    • 4 scholarships for the 1rt year of Bachelor's Degree in Tourism
    • 2 scholarships for the 1st year of Bachelor's Degree in Culinary & Gastronomic Sciences
    • 2 scholarships for the 1st year of Bachelor's Degree in Digital Business and Tourism Innovation
    • 2 scholarships for the 1st year of UB Specific Degree in International Hotel Management
    • 2 scholarships for the 1st year of UB Specific Degree in Marketing, Events and Entertainment

    Scholarships for Vocational Training Courses will cover 25% of the course tuition fees for 2024/2025; they do not cover enrolment fees, lunch fees and class materials.

    Scholarships for the Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Business and Tourism Innovation and UB Specific Courses will cover 25% of the course tuition fees for 2024/2025; they do not cover enrolment fees and UB enrolment tax.

    Scholarships for the Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary and Gastronomic Sciences will cover 25% of the course tuition fees for 2024/2025; they do not cover enrolment fees, UB enrolment tax and class materials.

    The scholarship fee will be deducted from the pending monthly payments during the rest of the academic year.

    1.5. Candidate Evaluation Criteria:

    To be eligible for a scholarship the following criteria will be considered:

    • Best academic records
    • The economic situation of the applicant’s household (particularly of those households that do not exceed the threshold defined by the Ministerio de Educación y Formación Profesional.

    • Higher Vocational Training Courses holders: academic record with average mark for HVTC.
    • Secondary school leavers: academic record with average mark for Secondary School studies.
    • Candidates applying for a Scholarship for Bachelor’s Degree Courses must provide pre-university enrolment form that clearly states having chosen EUHT CETT-UB Bachelor Degree programs as first choice.
    • If you have completed studies abroad, it will be essential to attach the equivalent of the average mark of university studies carried out in foreign centers, as indicated on the WEB of the Ministry.

    • Household annual income form from the previous year from all members in the household who are eligible to pay income tax. Members who are not eligible to pay income tax must provide with income tax exemption form.
    • Depending on the household circumstances, documents which can prove special financial status (disability statements, alimony, bereavement allowance, orphan’s allowance, tenancy agreement, etc…).

    In the event that the global endowment of the scholarships is not covered in period, a second period will be opened from September 2 to 6, 2024.

  • Digital Business and Innovation in Tourism Degree Scholarship

    Scholarship for the Degree in Digital Business and Innovation in Tourism in collaboration with the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO)

    1.1. Object:

    The objective of this scholarship is to identify and attract young talent motivated to develop their professional career in the field of tourism and digitalization, which is part of the work agenda between the CETT-UB and said United Nations agency.
    1.1. Object:

    Baccalaureate or Higher Education Training Cycle students who are entering university for the first time and who want to take the first year of the CETT Degree in Digital Business and Innovation in Tourism.

    1.3. Requirements:

    • Having applied for the degree in first preference in the first call for university pre-registration 2024.
    • In the case of Baccalaureate students: have a university entrance grade equal to or greater than 7.5.
    • In the case of students in the Higher Level Training Cycle: have an average grade of the academic record of the
    • Training Cycle equal to or greater than 7.5.
    • Not having been a beneficiary of any other CETT Foundation scholarship or discount for the 2024/2025 academic year.
    • Otherwise, the amount of the scholarship or discount that is most beneficial for the student will be applied.

    1.4. Financial envelope:

    Two scholarships are being announced for the first course of the Degree in Digital Business and Innovation in Tourism. The amount of each scholarship will correspond to 25% of the total amount of the 2024/2025 academic year, excluding tuition and university fees.

    A 2% withholding must be applied to the amount of the scholarship according to Personal Income Tax Law 40/1998*.

    *The LIRPF classifies scholarships as income from work. Consequently, scholarships that are not covered by the exemption of article 7 j) of the LIRPF (EDL 2006/298871) will be considered income from work in accordance with article 17.2 h) of the LIRPF) and, as such , will be subject to personal income tax withholding. To calculate the withholding, the general procedure established in articles 80 et seq. of the RIRPF will be followed.

    1.5. Assessment criteria for award:

    For the award of scholarships, the following will be taken into account:

    • Best academic record
    • Economic-family situation (the Family Unit Income thresholds for Scholarships from the Ministry of Education and
    • Vocational Training will be taken into account)
    • Curriculum vitae
    • The reasons stated in the OBSERVATIONS section of the application

    1.6. Documentation to present:

    The student must fill out the scholarship application online (see point 1.7), where they must include the following scanned documentation:

    • Photograph
    • Identification document (DNI; NIE, Passport)
    • High School students: certificate stating the average grade for access to the university.
    • In the event of having completed studies abroad, it will be essential to attach the equivalence of the average grade of university studies carried out in foreign centers as indicated on the Ministry's WEBSITE.
    • Proof of University Pre-registration stating the application for the Degree in Digital Business and Innovation in Tourism in first preference.
    • Curriculum vitae
    • Complete Income and Asset Declaration corresponding to the last fiscal year of all eligible members of the family unit required to present it. If you are not required to present it, it will be necessary to attach a supporting certificate.
    • In the case of Self-Employed, attach the document proving the results of your activities (IRPF of economic activities for the last year, the last 4 quarterly VAT returns, etc.).
    • Depending on the family situation, the supporting documentation (alimony for separations, widow's pension, orphanhood, rental housing, disability certificate, etc.).

    Any scholarship application that is not accompanied by supporting documentation will imply its denial.

    Once the application has been submitted, the Scholarship Commission may request the student, if it considers it necessary, both to submit documentation related to the scholarship application and the possibility of an online interview to expand the information.

    1.8. Resolution:

    The awarding of the scholarships will be made based on compliance with the requirements and until the global endowment is assigned.

    The Scholarship Commission, made up of members of Barcelona Turisme, Barcelona City Council and the CETT (Management, Career Services and Scholarship Management), will communicate the resolution via email from the Virtual Campus and individually to the applicants no later than the 29th of July 2024.

    The scholarship will be effective as long as registration for the 2024/2025 course is completed on the established dates.

    In case of non-compliance with the resolution of the requested scholarship, the student may request a review, through the CETT Virtual Campus (CETT Fundació) to the Scholarship Commission within a maximum period of 8 days from the notification. Any review request after this deadline will NOT be accepted.

    1.1. Purpose:

    To help students in financial need who can show interest and commitment both academically and professionally so they can continue their training in the areas of tourism, hospitality and gastronomy

    1.2. Recipients:

    Students who in 2024/25 are in their second year of a vocational training program at the Professional Technical School, Undergraduate and lifelong learning programs at the School of Tourism and Hospitality CETT-UB.

  • DCP/MCP scholarship in international business for intership and research

    2023/2024 DCP/MCP Scholarship in international business

    1.1. Purpose:

    To sponsor final projects of University Degree or Master's programs of the EUHT ETT-UB that promote research, entrepreneurship, and real projects within the tourism, hospitality, or gastronomy sector, aligned with one of the 17 objectives of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

    Note: In 2015, the UN agreed to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, an opportunity for countries to embark on a new path to improve the lives of all, leaving no one behind. The Agenda has 17 Sustainable Development Goals, ranging from eliminating poverty to combating climate change, education, women's equality, environmental protection, and the design of new cities.

    1.2. Recipients:

    Undergraduates or Master's Degree students of the EUHT CETT-UB who have enrolled all the credits to complete their degree, including the credits for their DCP in the case of Bachelor's Degree students. Applicants who have passed at least 18 ECTS in the case of a Master's Degree and wish to study in a company/institution/public organization with a branch abroad or away from the student's country of residence (international internship). This implies having to travel for a minimum period of two months to the host country.

    1.3. Requirements:

    • Undergraduates must have enrolled in all credits, including the DCP course, to finish their studies at CETT when applying.
    • In the case of Master's Degree students, they must have passed a minimum of 18 ECTS when applying.
    • Have a B2 level in the language of the country of destination.
    • Have demonstrated a strong motivation to carry out their capstone project.
    • Not having been a recipient of any other CETT Foundation scholarship or discount for the 2023/2024 academic year. Otherwise, the amount of the scholarship or the most favorable discount to the student will be applied.
    • The scholarship will only be compatible with the discount for cash payment or payment in two terms.

    1.4. Fees and finance:

    The overall amount of the grants awarded in this call will not exceed €3,000 (€1,500 for Bachelor's degrees and €1,500 for Master's degrees).

    For each of the training programs (Bachelor Degrees or Masters), we will award one grant for destinations outside Europe or two grants for destinations within Europe.

    The following aspects will be considered for awarding the grants:

    • Appropriateness of the DCP/MCP to the degree specialization or Master and the chosen company/institution/public organization and its compliance with CETT strategic objectives.
    • Alignment with one of the 17 objectives of the UN's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
    • Applicant's academic record and previous work experience (in the case of undergraduates, candidates must have completed a minimum of two internship periods during their study program, either curricular or extracurricular internships).
    • Assessment of the foreign language knowledge required by the host country.
    • Interest and professional motivation of the candidates.

    1.6. Required documents:

    DCP/MCP INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS application form, duly completed.

    • The Secretary of CETT will incorporate the candidate's academic record into the documents submitted.
    • For undergraduates, CETT Career Services will incorporate the report on the applicants' internships into the submitted documents. In the case of Masters's, previous work experience will be valued.
    • Professional motivational video of 2' maximum duration. In this video, the candidate will indicate FULL NAME and explain why the DCP/MCP is related to the chosen specialization, the motivations for choosing a given company/institution/public organization/country/destination, and the reasons he/she deserves to receive this scholarship. Both content and delivery will be judged.
    • The mentor of the host company/institution/public organization will have to include a brief description of the intern's project, his/her level of involvement in tutoring the student's work, and will also have to comply with the mandatory follow-up tasks.
    • Upon arrival at the destination, an official proof of arrival issued by the host company must also be submitted.

    1.7. Deadlines:

    The application must be submitted using this online form. (the form will be activated on the 1st day of the application submission period).

    Once the application has been submitted, the Scholarship Committee may request further information from the student if deemed necessary.

    Any scholarship application with missing supporting documentation will be rejected.

    Period 1 of application (only for Bachelors Degrees): -From November 29th to December 3rd, 2023, in the case of DCP enrolled in the spring semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. In Period 1, if the total amount of scholarships for this call has not been exhausted, a 2nd period will be opened.

    Period 2 of application (both for Bachelors Degrees and Masters): From March 7th to 11th, 2024, to carry out the DCP/MCP during the summer.

    1.8. Resolution:

    The Scholarship Committee, formed by members of the CETT Management, the EU CETT-UB, and Career Services, will communicate to the applicants the resolution at the latest ten days after the deadline for the submission of applications. In case of disagreement with the resolution, applicants may request, through the Virtual Campus of CETT (Career Services), a review to the Scholarship Committee within a maximum of 15 days from the notification. Any request for review after this period will NOT be accepted.

  • Collaboration Scholarship for Intership and research

    Course 2023-2024

    1.1. Purpose:

    To facilitate access to tourism training to CETT students in any of the official degree programs (vocational, undergraduate, and master's degrees) by allowing them to collaborate in the different CETT Group departments or business units.

    1.2. Recipients:

    Students in CETT Vocational Training, Undergraduate Degrees or *Official Master's Degrees.

    1.3. Requirements:

    • Be enrolled in one of the official training programs at EHT or EUHT CETT-UB during the academic year for which the scholarship collaboration will take place and at the time the application is completed.
    • Not hold any academic degree equivalent to vocational training or undergraduate degrees.

    1.4. No. of Scholarships and Economic Assistance:

    Starting September 15 and throughout the year, the different application periods for COLLABORATION SCHOLARSHIPS linked to the different CETT Group departments and business units will be announced.

    At the time each of the scholarships is announced, the following information will be specified: Department offering the place, candidate requirements, conditions (length and schedule of collaboration), and the scholarship amount.

  • Mou-te! Academic Scholarship for Mobility

    Mou-te! Academic Scholarship (Bachelor's Degree) 2024/2025

    1.1. Purpose:

    Promote students' mobility and international perspective by enabling them to study part of their degree abroad at one of the universities with which the EUHT has bilateral or ERASMUS agreements.

    1.2. Recipients:

    Students enrolled in one of the Bachelor’s Degrees of the EUHT CETT-UB (Culinary Sciences and Gastronomy Degree, Digital Business and Tourism Innovation Degree or Tourism Degree) and have obtained a place in one of the INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC EXCHANGE programs for the 2024/2025 academic year.

    1.3. Requirements:

    • Be enrolled in the Culinary Sciences and Gastronomy Degree, Digital Business and Tourism Innovation Degree or Tourism Degree during the 2023/2024 academic year.
    • Have a high command of the country of destination’s official language.
    •  
      • Have passed all the subjects for the 2023/2024 academic year by the closing date for submitting applications. Applications with failed subjects will not be accepted.
    • Never have received a MOU-TE! ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP from the CETT Fundació.
    • Not have been a beneficiary of any other CETT Foundation scholarship or discount for the 2024/2025 academic year. Otherwise, the amount of the scholarship or discount that is most beneficial to the student will be applied. The Mou-te Academic Scholarship will only be compatible with the cash discount.

    1.4. Number of scholarships and Economic Assistance:

    1 scholarship is announced per University.

    Depending on the destination, the amount of the MOU-TE! ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP could be:

    €1,920 For Canada-Quebec, Mexico, Australia, Switzerland and other countries with bilateral agreements (China, South Korea, Brazil, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Vietnam, Peru, Puerto Rico, EUA, Rusia, Equador and Israel).
    €1,330 For Finland, Ireland, Norway, Netherlands and United Kingdom
    €1,020 For Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, Turkey and Croatia.

    The scholarship will be paid via bank transfer in the following way:

    50% of the amount awarded will be paid by bank transfer once the student has sent the SOP Certificate of Arrival to [email protected] (document that must also be sent to the UB) once you are at the destination university.

    The remaining 50% of the scholarship will be paid at the end of the exchange program, once the student has sent the University Stay Certificate to [email protected].

    For UB Global Faculty Mobility students, it will also be necessary to send beques.cettfundació@cett.cat the Certificate of Arrival and the Certificate of Stay according to the forms in the following links:

    Students who terminate the agreement before due date or do not honor its conditions, will have to refund the scholarship amount received.

  • Minor scholarships for Mobility

    Minor Program Scholarship 2022/2023

    1.1. Purpose:

    To promote the mobility and internationalization of students for the completion of a one-semester training program abroad at one of the universities with which the EUHT CETT-UB has an agreement to obtain a certificate of specialization of a Minor program.

    1.2. Recipients:

    Graduates during the 2022/2023 academic year of the Degree in Tourism or the Degree in Culinary and Gastronomic Sciences of the EUHT CETT-UB.

    1.3. Requirements:

    • To have graduated with a Degree in Tourism or Culinary and Gastronomic Sciences at EUHT CETT-UB during the academic year 2022-2023.
    • To have applied for a Minor program with one partner university of CETT or proof commitment to apply for one. The Minor can be taken during the 1st or 2nd. semester of the 2023/2024 academic year.
    • Comply with the admission requirements of each university.

    1.4. Fees and finance:

    There are a total of 3 scholarships, one for each university with an agreement with CETT:

    Applicants must fill out online the MINOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION, where the following scanned documentation must be included:

    • Full household annual income form from the previous year from all members in the household who are eligible to pay income tax. Members who are not eligible to pay income tax must provide with an income tax exemption form.
    • Depending on the household circumstances, documents can prove special financial status (disability statements, alimony, bereavement allowance, orphan's allowance, tenancy agreement, etc.).

    • CETT's Secretary will provide the applicant's Academic Transcript to their application.
    • At the end of the stay, the certified copy of the certificate of completion of the Minor Program. This certificate must be sent to [email protected] (International Office).

    1.7. Deadlines:

    Application submission for Minor 1st semester: July 4 to 11, 2023.

    Application submission for Minor 2nd semester: November 7 to 14, 2023.

    The application must be submitted through this online form*. *(Form active as of the first day of the application submission period).

    All required documents must be attached to this application.

    After applications have been submitted, the Scholarships Committee may request further documents or an online interview with eligible candidates.

    Applications that do not include all required documents will be automatically denied.

    1.8. Resolution:

    A scholarship committee will be constituted with members from:

    • Coordination of Undergraduate Studies in Culinary and Gastronomic Sciences.
    • Coordination of Undergraduate Studies in Tourism.
    • A representative of the International Mobility Office of CETT.
    • The Head of Career Services.

    The committee will evaluate each candidate's application and communicate the resolution via e-mail before ** July 22, 2023 for Minor 1st semester and Novembrer 25, 2023 for Minor 2nd semester**.

    The scholarship will be conditional on presenting the admission letter to the Minor (to be sent to [email protected] - International Recruitment and Projects).

    Failure to present the letter will mean the scholarship will be denied. However, if there are candidates on the waiting list, we will award the scholarship to the next person on the list.

    In the event of withdrawing from the Minor Program before the end date for reasons other than force majeure, the student must return the total amount of the scholarship within 30 days of notifying the cancellation of the stay.

    Appeals to the Scholarships Committee can be done within fifteen days after being notified. Appeals submitted after this deadline will NOT be considered.

  • Scholarship for Joint university degrees for Mobility

    Scholarship for International University Degrees 2024/2025

    1.1. Purpose

    To promote the mobility and internationalization of students studying an international double degree offered by the CETT-UB and universities in different countries recognized for their academic excellence and prestige.

    1.2. Recipients

    Students enrolled in the EUHT CETT-UB's Bachelor's Degree in Tourism who have obtained a place at an international university with which the CETT has an agreement for the 2024/2025 academic year to study a joint degree.

    1.3. Requirements

    • To have studied and passed all the credits of the Tourism Degree up to the deadline for submitting applications. Applications with subjects pending qualification will not be accepted.
    • Be accepted by CETT and the host University.
    • Not have received any other CETT Fundació scholarship or grant for the academic year for which the scholarship is requested. Otherwise, the amount of the grant or discount that is most beneficial to the student will be applied.

    The Scholarship for International Joint Degrees will only be compatible with the discount for payment in installments.

    1.4. Number of scholarships and financial help

    One grant per university of destination will be awarded.

    Depending on the destination, the amount of the Scholarship for International Joint Degrees may be as follows:

    Amount University
    3.000 € For Michigan State University (USA)
    2.000 € For JAMK University of Applied Sciences (Finland)
    1.500 € For Grenoble École de Management (France)

    The amount of the scholarship will be paid by direct debit as follows:

    A bank transfer will pay 50% of the amount awarded once the Coordination of Studies of the Bachelor's Degree in Tourism has confirmed the student's arrival at the University of destination.

    The remaining 50% of the grant will be paid once the Coordination of Studies of the Bachelor's Degree in Tourism has the grades of the 1st semester of the credits taken at the destination university.

    If the student terminates the agreement before the end of its term or completes the period established in the agreement, the amount of the grant that has been paid will be refunded.

    1.5. Candidate Evaluation Criteria

    To award the scholarships, the following aspects will be taken into account:

    • Economic and family situation
    • Academic record.
    • Assessment of the foreign language proficiency as required by the host university.
    • Assessment of qualifications and professional experience.

    1.6. Required documents

    Students must fill in the online application form for the Internaional Joint University Degrees scholarship, which must include the following scanned documentation:

    • Full annual income form from the previous year from all household members eligible to pay income tax. Members who are not eligible to pay income tax must provide an income tax exemption form.
    • In the case of self-employed workers, it will be necessary to attach the document accrediting the results of their activities (personal income tax on economic activities for the last year, the last 4 quarterly VAT returns, etc.).
    • Depending on the household circumstances, documents that can prove special financial status (disability statements, alimony, bereavement allowance, orphan's allowance, tenancy agreement, etc.).
    • CETT Secretary's Office will attach the summary of the academic record up to the date of the deadline for the presentation of the applications for the Joint University Degrees Scholarship to the rest of the documents provided.

    1.7. Deadlines

    The applicant will have to submit the application using this online form. (The form will be activated on the first day of the application period).

    All the necessary documentation must be attached to the application form.

    Application period: from 3 to 14 June 2024.

    Once the application has been submitted, the Scholarship Committee may ask the candidate, if necessary, to submit any additional documentation related to the application and the possibility of an online interview to provide further information.

    Applications that do not include all required documents will be automatically denied.

    1.8. Resolution

    Scholarships will be granted, considering fulfillment of the requirements.

    The Scholarships Committee, comprised of the Economic-Financial Department, Career Services, and Scholarship Management, will notify applicants individually via the Virtual Campus by 28 June 2024.

    Appeals to the Scholarships Committee may be done through CETT Campus Virtual (CETT Foundation) within eight days of the notification of the decision. Any appeal after this period will not be accepted.

  • DCP/MCP Scholarship in International Business for Intership and research

    2023/2024 DCP/MCP Scholarship in International Business

    1.1. Purpose:

    To sponsor final projects of University Degree or Master's programs of the EUHT ETT-UB that promote research, entrepreneurship, and real projects within the tourism, hospitality, or gastronomy sector, aligned with one of the 17 objectives of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

    Note: In 2015, the UN agreed to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, an opportunity for countries to embark on a new path to improve the lives of all, leaving no one behind. The Agenda has 17 Sustainable Development Goals, ranging from eliminating poverty to combating climate change, education, women's equality, environmental protection, and the design of new cities.

    1.2. Recipients:

    Undergraduates or Master's Degree students of the EUHT CETT-UB who have enrolled all the credits to complete their degree, including the credits for their DCP in the case of Bachelor's Degree students. Applicants who have passed at least 18 ECTS in the case of a Master's Degree and wish to study in a company/institution/public organization with a branch abroad or away from the student's country of residence (international internship). This implies having to travel for a minimum period of two months to the host country.

    1.3. Requirements:

    • Undergraduates must have enrolled in all credits, including the DCP course, to finish their studies at CETT when applying.
    • In the case of Master's Degree students, they must have passed a minimum of 18 ECTS when applying.
    • Have a B2 level in the language of the country of destination.
    • Have demonstrated a strong motivation to carry out their capstone project.
    • Not having been a recipient of any other CETT Foundation scholarship or discount for the 2023/2024 academic year. Otherwise, the amount of the scholarship or the most favorable discount to the student will be applied.
    • The scholarship will only be compatible with the discount for cash payment or payment in two terms.

    1.4. Fees and finance:

    The overall amount of the grants awarded in this call will not exceed €3,000 (€1,500 for Bachelor's degrees and €1,500 for Master's degrees).

    For each of the training programs (Bachelor Degrees or Masters), we will award one grant for destinations outside Europe or two grants for destinations within Europe.

    • 1.500€: Destinations outside Europe
    • 750€: Europe

    A 2% withholding will be applied on the amount of the scholarship according to the IRPF Law 40/1998*.

    The amount of the grant will be paid by direct bank transfer once CETT has received the certificate from the host company/institution/public organization that the student has arrived.

    1.5. Candidate Evaluation Criteria:

    The following aspects will be considered for awarding the grants:

    • Appropriateness of the DCP/MCP to the degree specialization or Master and the chosen company/institution/public organization and its compliance with CETT strategic objectives.
    • Alignment with one of the 17 objectives of the UN's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
    • Applicant's academic record and previous work experience (in the case of undergraduates, candidates must have completed a minimum of two internship periods during their study program, either curricular or extracurricular internships).
    • Assessment of the foreign language knowledge required by the host country.
    • Interest and professional motivation of the candidates.

    1.6. Required documents:

    DCP/MCP INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS application form, duly completed.

    • The Secretary of CETT will incorporate the candidate's academic record into the documents submitted.
    • For undergraduates, CETT Career Services will incorporate the report on the applicants' internships into the submitted documents. In the case of Masters's, previous work experience will be valued.
    • Professional motivational video of 2' maximum duration. In this video, the candidate will indicate FULL NAME and explain why the DCP/MCP is related to the chosen specialization, the motivations for choosing a given company/institution/public organization/country/destination, and the reasons he/she deserves to receive this scholarship. Both content and delivery will be judged.
    • The mentor of the host company/institution/public organization will have to include a brief description of the intern's project, his/her level of involvement in tutoring the student's work, and will also have to comply with the mandatory follow-up tasks.
    • Upon arrival at the destination, an official proof of arrival issued by the host company must also be submitted.

    1.7. Deadlines:

    The application must be submitted using this online form. (the form will be activated on the 1st day of the application submission period).

    Once the application has been submitted, the Scholarship Committee may request further information from the student if deemed necessary.

    Any scholarship application with missing supporting documentation will be rejected.

    Period 1 of application (only for Bachelors Degrees): -From November 29th to December 3rd, 2023, in the case of DCP enrolled in the spring semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. In Period 1, if the total amount of scholarships for this call has not been exhausted, a 2nd period will be opened.

    Period 2 of application (both for Bachelors Degrees and Masters): From March 7th to 11th, 2024, to carry out the DCP/MCP during the summer.

    1.8. Resolution:

    The Scholarship Committee, formed by members of the CETT Management, the EU CETT-UB, and Career Services, will communicate to the applicants the resolution at the latest ten days after the deadline for the submission of applications. In case of disagreement with the resolution, applicants may request, through the Virtual Campus of CETT (Career Services), a review to the Scholarship Committee within a maximum of 15 days from the notification. Any request for review after this period will NOT be accepted.

  • Collaboration Scholarship for Intership and research

    Course 2023-2024

    1.1. Purpose:

    To facilitate access to tourism training to CETT students in any of the official degree programs (vocational, undergraduate, and master's degrees) by allowing them to collaborate in the different CETT Group departments or business units.

    1.2. Recipients:

    Students in CETT Vocational Training, Undergraduate Degrees or *Official Master's Degrees.

    1.3. Requirements:

    • Be enrolled in one of the official training programs at EHT or EUHT CETT-UB during the academic year for which the scholarship collaboration will take place and at the time the application is completed.
    • Not hold any academic degree equivalent to vocational training or undergraduate degrees.

    1.4. No. of Scholarships and Economic Assistance:

    Starting September 15 and throughout the year, the different application periods for COLLABORATION SCHOLARSHIPS linked to the different CETT Group departments and business units will be announced.

    At the time each of the scholarships is announced, the following information will be specified: Department offering the place, candidate requirements, conditions (length and schedule of collaboration), and the scholarship amount.

Scholarships for CETT students for vocational training

  • Students Scholarship for vocational training

    Students Scholarship 2024/25

    1.1. Purpose:

    To help students in financial need who can show interest and commitment both academically and professionally so they can continue their training in the areas of tourism, hospitality and gastronomy

    1.2. Recipients:

    Students who in 2024/25 are in their second year of a vocational training program at the Professional Technical School, Undergraduate and lifelong learning programs at the School of Tourism and Hospitality CETT-UB.

    1.3. Requirements:

    • Students must have passed all subjects of the 2023/2024 academic year until the scholarship application deadline.
    • The student must have applied for the 2024/2025 academic year for the General Scholarship of the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.
    • To apply for a scholarship, the applicants’ household anual income cannot exceed the thresshold defined by the Ministerio de Educación y Formación Profesional (Ministry of Education and Vocational Training in Spanish)
    • Not having been a beneficiary of any other CETT Fundació scholarship or discount for the 2024/2025 academic year. Otherwise, the amount of the scholarship or discount that is more beneficial to the student will be applied.
    • Meeting the requirements does not guarantee the award of the grant as the budget is limited.

    The Study Grant will only be compatible with the discount for cash payment.

    1.4. Economic assistance:

    The scholarships can amount to:

    a) €1,255

    b) €2,475

    A retention of 2% will be applied to the amount of the scholarship according to the IRPF Law 40/1998*.

    The scholarship fee will be deducted from the pending monthly payments during the rest of the academic year.

    1.8. Resolution:

    • Scholarships will be granted considering fulfillment of required criteria and to determine the final amount.
    • The Scholarships Committee made up by members of Barcelona Turisme, Barcelona City Council and CETT (Economic & Finantial Department, Career Services and Scholarships Services) will communicate each candidate the resolution via Campus Virtual on 5 July 2023.
    • Scholarships will be awarded upon enrolment for the 2024/25 year within the set deadlines.
    • Appeals to the Scholarships Committee will be done through CETT Campus Virtual (CETT Foundation) within 8 days after being notified. Appeals submitted after this deadline will NOT be considered.
  • Mou-te! Scholarship Academic

    Mou-te! Scholarship Academic (Higher Level Training Cycles) 2024/2025 

    1.1. Object: 

    Promote the mobility and internationalization of students in Higher Level Training Cycles to carry out academic stays, of a minimum of 2 months, in educational centers in other countries with which the CETT has established bilateral/Erasmus agreements. 1.2. Recipients: Students enrolled in one of the Higher Level Training Cycles of the Escola d’Hosteleria i Turisme CETT (ETP).

    1.3. Requirements:

    • Be enrolled in the second year of one of the Higher Level Training Cycles of the ETP during the academic year of the stay.
    • Have applied for and obtained an Erasmus scholarship in the call for academic Erasmus Scholarships carried out by the ETP CETT.
    • Have a high level of the language of the destination country.
    • Have passed all the subjects of the previous year (1st year) until the end date of submission of applications. No application with pending subjects will be accepted.
    • Not having been a beneficiary of any other CETT Fundació scholarship or discount for the academic year in which the exchange takes place. Otherwise, the amount of the scholarship or discount that is most beneficial for the student will be applied.

    The Mou-te Academic Scholarship will only be compatible with the discount for cash payment.

    1.4. Number of scholarships, destination and financial endowment:

    • Number of scholarships: 2
    • Destination country: France
    • Amount: €600

    The amount of the scholarship will be paid by direct debit in the following way:

    50% of the amount granted will be paid via bank transfer once the academic tutor of the destination educational center sends the ETP Training Cycles Mobility Coordinator confirmation that the student has arrived and has joined the teaching activities. The remaining 50% of the scholarship will be paid one month before the end of the exchange program.

    In the event that the student terminates the agreement before the end date or fails to comply with its provisions, he/she must return the amount of the scholarship paid to him/her.

    1.5 Assessment criteria for award:

    For the award of scholarships, the following aspects will be taken into account:

    Economic-family situation, course in which the student is enrolled, academic record, assessment of training and practical experience, assessment of the language level required by the destination country and the interest and degree of motivation for studies and the profession.

    1.6. Documentation to present:

    The student must fill out the MOU-TE SCHOLARSHIP Application online! ACADEMIC, where you must include the following scanned documentation:

    • Curriculum vitae
    • Complete Income and Assets Declaration corresponding to the last fiscal year, of all eligible members required to present it. If you are not required to present them, it will be necessary to present an accreditation certificate.
    • In the case of self-employed persons, it will be necessary to attach the document proving the results of their activities (IRPF of economic activities of the last year, the last 4 quarterly VAT declarations,...) 
    • Depending on the family situation, the supporting documentation (alimony for separations, widow's pension, orphanhood, rental housing, disability certificate, etc.)
    • The summary of the grades for the 2024/2025 course obtained until the end date for submitting the MOU-TE! Scholarship applications! ACADEMIC will be attached by the CETT Secretariat to the rest of the documentation presented.
    • At the end of the stay, assessment report, according to the mobility report model.

    1.7. Presentation of applications and documentation:

    The student must submit the request through this online form.

    (Form will be activated on the first day of the application submission period).

    All required documentation must be attached to this application.

    Period for submitting documentation and interview: June 3 to 14, 2024.

    Once the application has been submitted, the Scholarship Commission may ask the student, if it considers it necessary, both to present documentation related to the scholarship application and the possibility of an online interview to expand the information.

    Any scholarship application without supporting documentation will imply its denial.

    1.8. Resolution:

    The granting of scholarships will be made based on compliance with the requirements and until the total amount is assigned.

    The Scholarship Commission, made up of Management, Career Services and Scholarship Management, will communicate via email from the Virtual Campus and individually to applicants the resolution of the scholarships before June 28, 2024.

    In case of non-compliance with the resolution of the requested scholarship, the student may request, through the Virtual Campus (CETT Fundació), a review to the Scholarship Commission within a maximum period of 8 days of notification. Any review request after this deadline will not be accepted.
