  • Admission and enrollment procedure

    1. Admission Application

    Complete the admission application form, attaching your Curriculum Vitae and a motivation letter for the Master's Director to evaluate your profile and decide on your admission. You can find the application form in the "Admission Application" tab under each Master's specialization.

    2. Language Proficiency Test

    Below, you will find all the necessary information:

    • Catalan Proficiency Certification: candidates wishing to enroll in Master’s programs taught in Catalan at EUHT CETT-UB must present an official certificate proving a minimum level of B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Students who have completed their secondary education in a system where Catalan is the language of instruction are exempt from presenting additional certifications.

     

    • Spanish Proficiency Certification: foreign candidates whose native language is not Spanish and who wish to enroll in Master's programs taught in Spanish at the Escola Universitària d’Hoteleria i Turisme CETT-UB must demonstrate a Spanish level equivalent to B2 CEFR through a recognized certificate (approved by ACLES, CRUE, or other relevant entities). Candidates may also present a certificate from their educational institution or another certifying authority if their secondary or undergraduate studies were conducted in Spanish. This certification must comply with CEFR or DELE standards and not be older than two years.

      For free assessment of your Spanish proficiency, candidates can take an online level test available at the Instituto Cervantes’ Aula Virtual de Español (AVE).

    • English Proficiency Certification: foreign candidates whose native language is not English and who wish to enroll in Master’s programs taught in English must present a certificate equivalent to CEFR B2 level in all four skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking). Accepted certificates include Cambridge, IELTS, or TOEFL. Alternatively, certifications issued by any language faculty at Catalan or Spanish universities, the Official School of Languages, or CRUE-approved certificates are also accepted.

      Native speakers and those with a secondary or equivalent education completed in English are exempt from providing certification.

       

    3. Interview with the Master's Director

    After receiving your completed admission application, the Master's Director will contact you via email or phone to arrange an interview in Spanish if deemed necessary. For candidates residing outside Spain, the interview can be conducted via Skype. Those without Skype installed can download it here.

    4. Program Admission and Enrollment

    Once your admission to the program is confirmed, you will receive an admission letter from the Academic Office via email. It may take 7 to 10 days from the submission of your application to receive this confirmation. The email will also include the necessary information to begin the enrollment process.

    Seat Reservation: must be formalized within a maximum of one month from the date of the admission letter.

    Enrollment: it is essential to submit all required documentation as outlined in section 6. Foreign students awaiting legalization processes for their qualifications should contact the Academic Office at [email protected].

    5. Payment Methods

    You may make payments remotely via:

    • Credit card online through a secure link provided upon request.
    • Bank transfer: banking details will be sent upon request.

    6. Required Documentation

    You must present the following documents at the time of enrollment:

    For students from Spanish universities:

    • Certified copy of your university degree
    • Copy of your ID or passport
    • Two passport-sized photographs
    • Social Security number
    • Copy of your bank account details

    For students from foreign universities:

    • Certified copy of your legalized university degree (documents in a foreign language must include an official translation into Spanish or Catalan)
    • Certified copy of your legalized academic transcript (documents in a foreign language must include an official translation into Spanish or Catalan)
    • Copy of your ID or residence permit (NIE)
    • Two passport-sized photographs
    • Copy of your bank account details

    LEGALIZATION OF DOCUMENTATION FROM FOREIGN UNIVERSITIES

    Depending on the country of issuance:

    • EU Countries: documents issued under EU Council Directives do not require legalization, only translation.
    • Hague Convention Countries: original official documents must bear the Apostille for legalization.
    • Other Countries: documents must follow a diplomatic legalization process through:
      1. The Ministry of Education in the country of study
      2. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the issuing country
      3. The Spanish Diplomatic Mission in that country

    OFFICIAL TRANSLATION OF DOCUMENTATION ISSUED BY FOREIGN UNIVERSITIES

    Translation must be completed and issued by:

    • The Spanish diplomatic or consular representation abroad
    • The diplomatic or consular representation of the issuing country in Spain
    • A sworn translator registered or authorized in Spain
  • Seleccion Criteria

    The student who, once informed, decides to apply for admission, must follow the following process:

    1. Application for admission through the EUHT CETT-UB website: through a form created for this purpose where the basic data of the applicant student is collected, as well as the basic documentation to be (or not) admitted: curriculum vitae and degree, information that will be validated in the first instance by the Admission Committee.
    2. Diagnostic test: the admission process to the course establishes the development of a diagnostic test, in order to validate the knowledge of the main language used in the master's degree (refer to the admission and enrollment procedure section).

    Acceptance of the applicant stude:

    The positive or negative resolution of the student is made considering the following criteria:

    • Positive result of the diagnostic test (essential requirement).
    • Average grade of the Academic Record, together with the accreditation of having a level equivalent to B2 of the language in which the training is given in the reference group of students (40%).
    • Professional experience demonstrated by the candidate (20%)
    • Personal interview with the applicant (40%)

    Communication of accepted admission: once the Master's Academic Secretary has confirmation of admission from the coordinator of the specialty, it proceeds to send the corresponding letter (by regular mail and e-mail).

    Enrollment in the course: the student, with the commmunication of accepted admission, proceeds to process the corresponding enrollment with the direct advice of the Master's Academic Secretary.

Bachelor's degree access

  • With Spanish baccalaureate studies

    ADMISSION PROCEDURE

    Students in possession of a Spanish baccalaureate certificate who want to access any of the Bachelor’s Degrees offered by EUHT CETT-UB will have to do so using the University Access Portal during the established terms.

    1. PAU/EBAU REGISTRATION

    The preregistration as well as the registration procedures for the University Entrance Exams (PAU) will be done through the University Access Portal. All the information about PAU can be checked at the Generalitat de Catalunya’s University Admissions Portal or, alternatively, going to:

    1. UNIVERSITY PRE-ENROLLMENT

    Students have to complete the pre-enrollment procedure using the University Access Portal so they can be assigned a place to their desired studies. In the pre-enrollment application students need to state their preferences sorted by priority. The codes from the EUHT CETT-UB formations are:

  • With advanced-level training cycle (CFGS) studies

    ADMISSION PROCEDURE

    Students who possess an advanced-level training cycle (CFGS) diploma, a plastic arts or design advanced-level training cycle diploma or equivalent studies, can access Bachelor’s Degree studies without having to take any kind of entrance exam. Their access grade is the cumulative point average mark they have from the advanced-level training cycle course they previously did.

    If a student wants to improve their access grade then, voluntarily, can take the specific phase of the PAU exams. All the information about these examinations can be checked on Canal Universitats: subjects’ content, exams’ structure, marking system, sample exams from previous editions as well as the calendar and schedule for each exam.

    1. UNIVERSITY PRE-ENROLLMENT

    Students have to pre-enroll to the University using the University Admissions Portal or going to the University Admissions Office so they can be assigned a place to their desired studies.   • With Spanish bachelor’s degree - With the studies started (file transfer)

    ADMISSION PROCEDURE

    1. STUDY OF THE STUDENT’S ACADEMIC RECORD

    The study of the student’s Academic Record, the favourable resolution of which allows the student to apply directly to the center to get a place allocated, entails the payment of a non-refundable tax of 55 euro. This payment has to be done through this virtual platform where you can also find the application form for the procedure. Any posible fees due in this case must be met by the student. However, those students who decide to enroll will have an equivalent discount (55 €) applied in the enrollment fee. The applicant will receive the resolution of this phase in a maximum of three weeks.

    DOCUMENTATION TO BE SUBMITTED:

    All documents must be sent to Susanna Vidal supervisor of EUHT-CETT UB Academic Secretary’s Office.

    • Application form for the study of the Academic Record.
    • Photocopy of the applicant’s identity accreditation document: DNI (Spanish students) or passport or Spain residence permit (foreign students).
    • Original copy of the Personal Academic Certificate that includes, at least, the acquired formation, the credits, the academic year and the corresponding grades.*
    • Study Plan of all the subjects the student has taken until the moment of processing the application that include the competences, associated knowledge and number of credits, hours or weeks per semester or year and sealed by the center of origin*.

    (*) Students that started their Bachelor’s Degree studies at Universitat de Barcelona need not submit the documents marked with an asterisk and are only required to send their Academic Record.

    1. ACCESS TO THE STUDIES

    The way a student can access their desired studies depends on the number of credits they get recognized.

    With 30 credits ECTS regonized or more: apply directly to the center to get the admission (trasllat d’expedient). The Secretary’s Office will contact students who, at least, get 30 credits ECTS recognized to tell them how to complete the enrollment procedure.

    With less than 30 credits ECTS recognized: students have to complete the pre-enrollment procedure for the studies they want to get admitted using the University Access Portal The term to do so will be established by the University Admissions Office.

  • With Spanish bachelor's degree - Completed studies

    ADMISSION PROCEDURE

    Students who have an official Spanish Bachelor’s Degree Certificate and wish to start any of the degrees available at EUHT CETT-UB, will have to complete the pre-enrollment procedure for those studies using the University Access Portal so they can get a place allocated. The term to do so will be established by the University Admissions Office in its annual call. In the pre-enrollment application students need to state their preferences sorted by priority. The codes from the EUHT CETT-UB formations are:

    1. OBTAINING THE UNEDassis CREDENTIAL

    Students holding any of these high school diplomas who wish to start undergraduate studies at EUHT CETT-UB must first obtain an "UNEDasiss university access accreditation" issued by the National Distance Education University (UNED). This accreditation verifies compliance with access requirements. To obtain this credential or for any further information regarding this procedure, it is necessary to contact UNED directly.

The Academic Secretariat Office of EUHT CETT-UB will use the email address provided by the student in the university pre-registration application. It is important for the student to check that this email is not mistakenly filed in the spam, social, or promotions folders.

    Through this communication, new access students will be asked to sign up for one of the enrollment sessions scheduled to complete the process. They will also be requested to provide the documentation required on that day and will receive necessary information about how the course will operate.

  • With EU baccalaureate, European baccalaureate or international baccalaureate

    1. OBTAINING THE UNEDasiss ACCREDITATION

    Students who own any of the aforementioned baccalaureates and want to start a Bachelor’s Degree at EUHT CETT-UB, first of all, need to obtain the University Entrance Accreditation UNEDasiss issued by Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED), which certifies that the student fulfills the access requirements. To get this accreditation or any information about this procedure, it is necessary to contact directly with UNED at:

  • With foreign studies that can be homologated into a Spanish Advanced-level Training Cycle (CFGS)

    ADMISSION PROCEDURE

    1. HOMOLOGATE THE EQUIVALENT STUDIES INTO AN ADVANCED-LEVEL TRAINING CYCLE

    The required documents have to be submitted to the Generalitat de Catalunya’s Direcció General d’Atenció a la Família i Comunitat Educativa.All the information about the homologation or the certificates equivalence procedures can be checked here. The homologation of these studies will give the student an access grade: a mark between 5 and 10 points. Students who would like to improve their access grade can voluntarily take the specific phase of the PAU exams or the PCE exams at UNED to do so.

  • Bachelor's degree - With the studies Started

    ADMISSION PROCEDURE

    1.APPLY TO THE CENTER FOR A VALIDATED CREDIT TRANSFER * BY MEANS OF THE ACADEMIC RECORD STUDY

    (*) The validated credit transfer is the official recognition of the academic validity in the Spanish University system of a given upper-level foreign studies. This kind of recognition allows students to continue their studies in another Spanish University.

    The study of the student’s Academic Record entails the payment of a non-refundable tax of 55 euro which has to be done through this virtual platform. In this site it can also be found the application form for this procedure. Any possible fees due in this case must be met by the student.     • Study Plan of all the subjects successfully completed until the moment of processing the application that include the competences (only required for studies adapted into the EHEA), associated knowledge and number of credits, hours or weeks per semester or year and sealed by the center of origin.
    • Information about the marking system of the University of origin duly sealed.
    • Study plan of the Bachelor’s Degree started by the applicant that features the length of the studies in academic years as well as all the subjects of its curriculum duly sealed by the University.

    IMPORTANT: Students must ensure that they have original copies issued by the competent authorities of all the academic documents they submit. Certificates issued outside Spain must be duly legalized. Additionally, documents that were not issued in Catalan, Spanish or English must be submitted together with the corresponding official translation into Catalan or Spanish. The translation has to be done after the legalization procedure has been completed. Therefore, it has to include all text relating to the legalization process.

    1. APPLICATION RESOLUTION

    The resolution of the application to get a validated credit transfer will be reported to the interested person but it does not entail the direct admission to the center. The admission procedure for each student depends on the number of credits they get validated and transferred.

    With at least 30 credits ECTS validated and transferred:

    The Secretary’s Office will contact admitted students who, at least, get 30 credits validated so they can complete the enrollment procedure.

    With less tan 30 credits ECTS validated and transferred:

    Students who get less than 30 credits validated will have to complete the pre-enrollment procedure for the studies they want to get admitted using the University Admissions Portal or going to the University Admissions Office. The term to do so will be established by the University Admissions Office in its annual call.

    1. HOMOLOGATE OR GET THE EQUIVALENCE FOR THE FOREIGN DIPLOMA

    The application for this procedure must be directed to the Spanish Ministry of Education and Vocational Trainning. All the information about the procedure and the required documents can be checked here.

    IMPORTANT: If a student gets a negative resolution to the homologation application, they will be able to apply for the admission using using a different method (see FOREIGN BACHELOR’S DEGREE section) , provided that the homologation has not been denied for neither of the following reasons:

    • Spanish certificates that no longer exist or have not been completely implemented.
    • Certificates equivalent to foreign studies that have been taken, completely or partially, in a Spanish center that does not have the autorization to teach those studies.
    • Certificates that have already been homologated in Spain or that the interested person already applied to get a partial homologation so they could continue studying in Spain.
    1. UNIVERSITY PRE-ENROLLMENT

    Once the student’s previous studies have been homologated, they will have to complete the pre-enrollment procedure using the University Admissions Portal or going to the University Admissions Office so they can be assigned a place to their desired studies. In the pre-enrollment application students need to state their preferences sorted by priority. The codes from the EUHT CETT-UB formations are:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism (Hotel Management or Tourism Management): 11011
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism. Taught in English: 11086
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary and Gastronomic Sciences : 11113
    • Bachelor's Degree in Digital Business and Tourism Innovation: 11102
    • Double Degree in Tourism and Degree in Digital Business and Innovation in Tourism: 11112

    Pre-enrollment dates:

    Consult the calls for February, June and September in the Canal Universitats.

    1. PLACE ALLOCATION AND ENROLLMENT

    Admitted students will receive an email from the center to confirm their place allocation. The EUHT CETT-UB Secretarial Department will use the email address that students provided in the pre-enrollment form. Students need to check that this email does not get filed into the spam, social or promotions inboxes. Through this notification, students will be asked to sign up for any of the enrollment sessions that will be held so they can complete this procedure. They will also be informed about the course development as well as what documents they will have to bring to enroll.

    ENROLLMENT TERM: mid-July

    Students who do not enroll during the established dates will lose the place they were assigned.

  • PAU MG25

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Be or turn 25 years old in the calendar year in which the exam is held.
    • Do not have passed the University Entrance Exams (PAU) or equivalent.
    • Do not hold a quialification as an advanced vocational-training technician, advanced plastic arts and design technician or an advanced sports technician (or the equivalent).
    • Do not have a university qualification.

    The University Entrance Exam (PAU) for over 25s is held once a year. Students have an unlimited number of sittings to pass this test and may take the exam again to improve their mark, as long as they meet the requirements.

    ADMISSION PROCEDURE

    1. UNIVERSITY PRE-ENROLLMENT

    Students who pass the University Entrance Exam for over 25s and whish to start a Bachelor’s Degree at EUHT CETT-UB have to complete the pre-enrollment procedure during the established terms via the University Admissions Portal or going to the University Admissions Office. In the pre-enrollment application students need to state their preferences sorted by priority. The codes from the EUHT CETT-UB formations are:

  • PAU MG40 - University entrance exam for over 40s with accredited work experience

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Be or turn 40 years old in the calendar year in which the application to the university is done.
    • Do not be in possession of a qualification which allows a student to attend university via other entrance pathways.
    • Have accredited work or vocational experience related to to the university bachelor’s degree course on which the student would like to be admitted.

    The admission process for over 40s is held once a year and applications may be made for one Catalan university study center and formation only.

    1. PAU REGISTRATION AND UNIVERSITY PRE-ENROLLMENT

    Students have to complete the exam registration via the University Admissions Portal Here it can be checked all the information relating to the exam.

    This is the only procedure students are required to complete. The place allocation will be published at the University Admissions Portal according to the University Pre-enrollment Calendar (publication at Canal Universitats.

  • PAU MG45

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Be or turn 45 years old in the calendar year in which the application to the university is done.
    • Do not be in possession of a qualification which allows a student to attend university via other entrance pathways.

    The University Entrance Exam for over 45s is held once a year. Applicants have an unlimited number of sittings to pass this exam and, if they meet the requirements, they can retake the exam to improve their mark. In order to attend university, applicants must pass the exam, PAU, (once passed is valid indefinitely) and have a personal interview (only valid for the year in which takes place and for one single center/course).

Vocational Training Studies

  • Acces through vocational trainings (middle grade)

    Access by degree or other academic requirements to the intermediate-level cycles:

    • Title graduate in Secondary Education (ESO)
    • Title of technical / auxiliary (FP-1)
    • Title technician
    • To have passed the first cycle of secondary education experimental (14-16)
    • Have passed a professional two experimental module
    • Having passed the first two years of the Unified Multipurpose Baccalaureate (BUP)
    • Have passed within the teachings of applied arts and crafts, the third year of the plan in 1963 and the second year of experimental common
    • Having passed other studies declared equivalent to any of the above, for academic purposes
    • Having passed the training course specific access to vocational training medium
    • Having passed one vocational training medium studies.

    Access to the test through vocational training means:

    • Evidence of access to vocational training through
    • Entrance examinations for any training cycle superior
    • Entrance examinations intermediate or higher level of education or sports lessons of arts and design (or have exceeded their common part)
    • University entrance exams for over 25 or 45 years
    • Access to university to be accredited professional experience and have 40 or more years
    • Access test or more
    • Test of access to experimental professional modules
  • Acces vocacional trainings studients (suporior grades) 

    Access by degree or other academic requirements for vocational training students:

    • Baccalaureate
    • Title technician specialist (FP 2)
    • Title of technical superior
    • The academic title equivalent to any of the above
    • University degree or equivalent
    • Certificate substitute teaching have passed the test of access for certain higher vocational training
    • Having completed the second year of the baccalaureate experimental any form
    • Having passed the university orientation course (COU) or pre-university course
    • Having passed the training course specific access to vocational training higher
    • Having passed a Vocational Training Medium of the same professional family, OPTION C

    Access to the test by higher vocational training:

    • Evidence of access to vocational training students wish to study
    • University entrance exams for over 25 or 45 years
    • Access to university to be accredited professional experience and have 40 or more years
    • Access test modules corresponding to three professionals, according to Annex 8 of Resolution ENS / 310/2002 of 31 January
