Choosing what to study can be an overwhelming task, that's why CETT offers recommendations to help you make the best decision.

1. What you want to be

Reflect and plan! Do you already know what you want to do for a living? The answer is not always easy or concrete, but deciding is the first step to start your future career. Some tips to reach the final answer go through a process of reflection: know how you project your future, what fills you and what you imagine yourself doing. If you find it hard to think of a profession, start with a field of interest.

2. Which studies bring you closer to your goal

Do your research! Catalonia offers a wide and diverse academic offer and there are more and more specialized training programs. Therefore, the second step is to choose the training that best suits you. Make a list of your skills, priorities, preferences and everything that can help you make a decision.

3. What information is available

Get informed! All training centers have different channels to approach you and now is the time to use them. Search their websites and contact their student orientation teams.

Remember that the centers are also present at sector fairs, such as the Saló de l'Ensenyament, and offer open days and individualized sessions.

4. Who inspires you

Connect! People who inspire you can always serve as a guide. Is there someone who is already in the professional world on whom you can project yourself? Look for their academic trajectory in professional networks such as LinkedIn. It is a great source to get inspiration and follow in the footsteps of someone who has already reached where you want to be.

5. How others have experienced it

Get close to the alumni! The current student body or alumni of the training you want to take can personally tell you about their experience. If you are not lucky enough to know anyone, don't worry, you can look for reviews, testimonials and even find videos on networks such as YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn of their experiences. And, in the case of CETT, enjoy a coffee with the students
