Unique program in the tourism sector
After learning that the application achieved the final stage, the coordinator of the Master's in LGBT Tourism at CETT-UB, Núria Abellan, expressed: "We are so proud to have been one of the selected candidates since it is a recognition of this Master's value and the importance of training tourism professionals in the LGBTIQ community". According to Abellan, "this nomination demonstrates that placing gender perspective as a fundament of tourism training, and especially in the case of this unique program, is a key step to have a direct and positive impact on the recognition of the diversity in the tourism sector".
In addition to the Academy and Research category, the ISTO Awards will also recognize Public Authority Initiatives and Solidarity, Responsible and Sustainable Initiatives projects. The awards ceremony will take place at the ISTO World Congress between 12 and 15 October 2022 in the Azores, Portugal.
