Presentación de la revista ARA a Santo Domingo
CETT Consultores ha creado la primera revista de investigación sobre turismo de la República Dominicana, de la cual son editores la Escola Universitària d’ Hoteleria i Turisme CETT, adscrita a la Universitat de Barcelona conjuntamente con la Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE).
A través de la publicación de artículos y estudios enfocados a la investigación científica y práctica, se pretende profundizar, extender y divulgar la comprensión de la red de relaciones entre el fenómeno turístico y el desarrollo sostenible de las sociedades. Los editores de ARA invitan a investigadores de todas disciplinas académicas a nivel mundial a aportar su contribución. Son especialmente bienvenidos aquellos trabajos que traten el turismo en la zona geográfica del Caribe en su sentido más amplio, es decir, incluyendo las zonas costeras orientales del continente americano limítrofe al Caribe, así como aquellos estudios que se basen en zonas de cualquier otro lugar del mundo con situaciones similares a las del Caribe. Los artículos podrán ser entregados en inglés o español y serán publicados en la lengua original del manuscrito. La revista tiene periodicidad semestral y circula a nivel mundial, mediante suscripciones que podrán hacerse a través de las páginas electrónicas de FUNGLODE www.funglode.org y del Grup CETT www.cett.es
ARA – Journal of Tourism Research has been launchedGrup CETT (Escola Universitària d’Hoteleria i Turisme CETT, center attached to the Universitat de Barcelona) and the Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) have launched the Journal of Tourism Research ARA, the first academic publication of its kind in the Dominican Republic. The new journal’s objectives are, through the publication of articles and papers on scientific and applied research in tourism, to enhance, extend and spread the study and comprehension of the network of connections and relations between the tourism phenomenon and the sustainable development of societies. The editors of ARA – Journal of Tourism Research invite researchers of all academic disciplines from all over the world to contribute with their work. Especially welcome are studies that concern and deal with tourism in the greater Caribbean Basin, including the eastern coastal areas of the mainland of Central America, and those studies that are oriented in any other place in the world with basically similar situations and environments as to be found in the Caribbean. Articles may be submitted in English or Spanish and will be published in the original language of the manuscript. Each submitted article shall be subjected to a double blind review process (authors and reviewers will not know each others names) by at least two specialists in different academic areas. The journal’s frequency of publication is half-yearly and it will be mailed worldwide. Subscription is possible through the websites of FUNGLODE www.funglode.org or the CETT Group www.cett.cat
