#08 CETT Research Seminar
Discover this new event to boost the Alimara University Hotel research Come on December 18 at 1pm to the eight research seminar that we are organizing within the Hotel Universitari Alimara. Our proposal merges the academic and hotel environment and generates value for the tourism sector. The seminar will take place in the CETT Living Labs (Lab 1). This seminar will focus on "Development of the axes of Smart Tourist Destinations in Hotels in the Valencian Community". This session will include an analysis of the competitiveness of the hotel sector in the Valencian Community based on the axes of the Smart Tourist Destinations (DTI) model implemented by SEGITTUR and INVAT TUR: 1) management, 2) innovation, 3) technology, 4) accessibility and 5) sustainability. In addition, a comparative analysis will be made of the degree of development of the five axes in hotels in the Valencian Community depending on whether they are located or not in destinations adhering to the DTI Network of the Valencian Community (DTI-CV Network), according to the level of DTI development, depending on whether the hotel is independent or a chain, and according to the category of the hotel. It will end with explanatory models generated from structural equations that include the significant relationships between the axes and the variables of competitiveness and hotel performance measured. The speaker will be Jorge Pereira Moliner, PhD, Professor of Business Organization at the University of Alicante. His research focuses on the tourism sector, especially hotels, where he applies strategic business management, quality management, sustainability and competitive intelligence.
