The project focuses on analyzing and improving the reliability of online review platforms within the tourism sector. The main objective is to develop knowledge and tools that allow users and tourism service providers to perform more accurate analysis based on reviews and make informed decisions. The project also seeks to support regulatory bodies in establishing quality and transparency standards in the use of these platforms.
With a clear orientation towards digitalization and the use of big data analysis technologies and artificial intelligence, the project downloads and examines large volumes of reviews from platforms such as Booking.com, TripAdvisor, AirBnB or Google Reviews, among others. This data is processed with advanced artificial intelligence techniques such as machine learning to identify patterns in the quality of services, as well as to differentiate the needs of different consumer segments (such as LGTBIQ+ groups, adults only or people with functional diversity). In addition, the project explores the possibility of creating a classification system based on review scores, which could serve as an alternative or complement to traditional classification systems.
