Extracurricular Practices

They are academic activities not included in the study plan.

· They are voluntary and are carried out during the student's training period. This activity is consigned in the European Diploma Supplement.

· The process to carry out extracurricular practices will be identical to the practices, and the student will have a final grade as an assessment of the practices carried out.

· They must be carried out within the academic period that the enrollment entitles, and in no case can they be done beyond the end of the official academic year of the UB.

· The extracurricular practices will preferably take place after the end of the second year of the degree; However, if the student presents an internship program that adds value to the knowledge and skills that the Degree provides, and with the approval of the Degree Directorate, these practices may be carried out exceptionally throughout the first and second years of the degree.

Student Requirements to Access Extra Curricular Internships

In order to carry out extracurricular internships, students must meet the following requirements:

Be enrolled in the teaching of the corresponding Degree, and have passed 50% of the credits of the credits enrolled in the first year

· Not having a working relationship with the company or institution where the internship is carried out.

· Students who have not exceeded 50% of the credits may exceptionally do so under the following conditions:

o That the exception is duly justified by the Head of Career Services.

o In these cases, the original copy of the authorization made by Career Services must be included in the internship agreement.


Formalization of the Agreement and the Training Project

Carrying out the internship requires the prior signing of an Educational Cooperation Agreement as a regulatory framework for relations between students, the company and the EUHT CETT-UB.

The Agreement must be subject to the following requirements:

a) The agreement must be signed by the School Management, by delegation of the Rector of the UB, and the person who is the legal representative of the CETT.

b) The formalization of the agreement is prior to the incorporation of the students to the company or institution.

c) The agreement has as an annex the training project, which must be individual for the student, and must be signed by the company or institution, by the UB and by the student.

d) Companies or institutions must guarantee the safety and health of students in aspects related to the tasks that are the objective of the training project.

e) The companies or institutions do not receive, in any case, any type of economic consideration for their participation.

The agreement must include the basic agreements:

a) The training project object of the practice that the student must do.

b) The student's permit regime.

c) The coverage of accident risk and the student's civil responsibility.

d) Protection of personal data.

e) Economic aspects.

f) Conflict resolution.

g) The terms of recognition of the EUHT CETT-UB to the task carried out by the tutors of the company or institution.

h) Validity and early termination of the agreement.

e) Validity and early termination of the practices.

The training project of the practices

The training project is an individual document of the student, annexed to the educational cooperation agreement, in which the contents and characteristics that make up the internship work plan that the student carries out in the company or institution are specified. The contents of the practices must be defined in such a way as to ensure the direct relationship of the competences to be acquired in practice with the studies completed.

The training project is formed following the principles of inclusion, equal opportunities, non-discrimination and universal accessibility.

The training project must specify the educational objectives and the activities that the internship students must fulfill. The definition of the objectives will be set taking into account the competences that the students want to develop.

The training project contains the following elements:

a) Total number of hours of practices.

b) Number of hours per day.

c) Hours.

d) Period.

e) Postal address for the internship.

f) Name of the department or functional area of ​​the company or institution where the student will do the internship.

g) Description of the tasks to be carried out.

h) Description of the specific competences of the degree to develop.

e) Description of the transversal, general or key competences to develop.

j) Description of the job or professional profile in accordance with the tasks and skills to be developed.

In the case of students who carry out the internships with national or international mobility, the processing of the agreement with the company will be coordinated to have a scanned copy in advance and always guaranteeing that the originals will be sent by certified postal mail (only in the case that the student is not responsible for personally delivering the originals to the company).

Students who carry out international internships must take out insurance and submit a photocopy of the European Health Card.

During the entire internship period, the student will be covered by school insurance, both in the company establishment and in the event of accidents / incidents on the go, as well as medical emergencies. In the case of students aged 28 or over, they are excluded from school insurance and have medical coverage for accidents and medical emergencies in the AXA Insurance Company.

In the processing of the corresponding Internship Agreement, three copies will be delivered that must be signed by the three parties involved (CETT-UB, Company where the practices will be carried out and student).

This agreement must be returned to Career Services within the week following the start of the internship, otherwise the agreement will be terminated. It is the student's responsibility to return the signed program and internship agreement to Career Services.

The sending of all the pertinent documentation to evaluate the practices within the framework of the Practicum subject will be carried out online through the Virtual Campus.


Validity and early termination of the agreement or the Internship Training Project

In general, the Internship Training Agreement / Project is valid for one academic year [1] or period for which it is signed.

It can be terminated early for the following reasons:

a) Due to early termination of the training project attached to the agreement.

b) By mutual agreement of the parties, expressed in writing.

c) By complaint of one of the parties, stated in writing.

d) Due to the impossibility of complying with the agreement or the Training Project.

e) For unavoidable personal reasons and / or force majeure.

f) For other causes provided for in current legislation.

To do this, the student must complete the request form to withdraw from the agreement that will be provided by Career Services.

Economic aspects

The internship agreement may foresee the contribution, by the company or the institution, of an amount for the student as a bag or study aid, provided that this is agreed between the two parties signing the agreement, and that it will be necessary to satisfy in any way to be determined.

Regarding the aid to the student, it will be stated in the student's training project, as a document annexed to the agreement, and in no case is it considered remuneration or payroll for the activity carried out, since there is no employment relationship. This bag or this aid does not need to be adjusted either in concept or in amounts to the provisions of the labor remuneration system established in the company or institution.

When the internships are remunerated as established by RD1493 / 2011, the company must register the student with Social Security before the start date, and must satisfy the Social Security contributions that are mandatory in accordance with the applicable legislation.
