The master’s program, lasting one academic year and worth 60 ECTS credits, is structured into ten modules/subjects of 6 ECTS each. These cover everything from theoretical foundations to practical application in areas such as marketing, sports management, economics, and technological innovation within the sportainment sector.

Master’s Final Project
The MFP is offered in three formats:
Applied research projects
Linked to CETT’s Research Groups, these projects address key topics in the sector, such as the impact of sportainment on the local economy.
Professional application projects
Developed in collaboration with companies in the sector, these projects allow students to apply their knowledge to real-world projects.
Business plans
Designed for entrepreneurial students, these projects involve the creation of an innovative, viable, and applicable business proposal for the sector.
Methodology and evaluation
CETT-UB has an experiential learning model, designed to facilitate the analysis and understanding of all aspects of business management, through your active participation in classes, challenges and projects.
It is based on five pillars:
- Challenge-based learning (ABR): you will face real challenges posed by teachers and organizations that are part of the CETT-UB partner network. Institutions such as La Roca Village, Rusticae or the Barcelona City Council have contributed to the CETT masters by posing challenges to be solved by the students.
- Project-Based Learning (PBL): you will tackle transversal projects that respond to a specific problem in the sector. In this way, you will develop skills in collaboration, problem solving and critical thinking, applied in a real work environment.
- Gamification: a fun and relaxed experiential learning method, with which you will learn to solve complex problems in a given time, generating an environment in which there is no fear of error, but the possibility of achieving goals and objectives.
- Design Thinking: a 100% user-oriented methodology to find solutions that provide answers in an area or sector. This methodology allows you to work on creativity, providing innovative and disruptive solutions in a short time, fostering your creativity and your ability to work as part of a team.
- Case studies: you will visit different companies and institutions in Barcelona to learn and apply concepts acquired from the exposure of real situations of the organization presented in situ by their teams.
The master's degree does not have final exams. The evaluation is based on continuous monitoring by the faculty and the course management, as well as the resolution of individual or group written tests and the development of work during the course.

To obtain the Lifelong Learning Master’s Degree in Sports Marketing and Event Management from the University of Barcelona, it is an essential requirement to hold a bachelor’s degree, licentiate degree, diploma, engineer, technical engineer, architect, or technical architect degree, or an equivalent university qualification. If the candidate does not hold any of these degrees, upon successful completion of the program, they will be awarded the University Extension Diploma in Sports Marketing and Event Management, also issued by the University of Barcelona.

Because we understand the challenges of living in a new environment, the CETT-UB Campus offers the International Relations Office (ORI) — a dedicated area that provides guidance, advice, and support to international students enrolled in master’s programs.
The team at ORI will provide you with relevant information regarding logistical aspects of life in Barcelona, such as city registration (empadronamiento), the process for obtaining a Foreign Identification Number (NIE), and finding accommodation in the city.
Procedures Related to Your Academic Stay
The ORI team will offer updated information about the necessary procedures once you arrive in Barcelona, guiding you through essential documents such as your NIE, municipal registration, and university ID card.
Languages
If Spanish is not your native language, the ORI team will give you advice on how and where to learn it. They will also guide you on learning Catalan, which will help you integrate more easily into daily life in the city.
In addition, you can improve your Spanish through the certified courses offered by the CETT-UB Language Department. If you prefer to practice any language informally, you can join our free language exchange program with other CETT-UB students.

Internships and employment
During the master, you will have the opportunity to undertake internships in top-tier companies and institutions, with the goal of acquiring new skills and applying the knowledge gained throughout the program.
The Career Services Department will guide you on the types of internships available and help you choose the option that best fits your professional goals.
The internships are offered in two modalities
Extracurricular Internships: Not included in the academic curriculum and of a voluntary nature.
The internships are carried out through university–company cooperation agreements and are supervised by professors who are experts in each subject area.
CETT-UB will help you find the opportunities best suited to your professional profile and motivations, among the more than 900 internship requests received from companies each year. Likewise, we will assist and accompany you in connecting with and gaining access to the companies and institutions that best align with your professional goals.
